On October 17 2003, at 19:00 UTC, a special event has been organized in Brindisi FIR where several commercial and tourist airplanes
will fly inside the Brindisi FIR. Aim of the event is to increase the air traffic of the Southern Italy and
to fly in a real enviroment with all full staffed ATCs and different kind of air traffic (civilian and military).
Real ATC controllers are scheduled for this event.
As Special Operations in IVAO, this group will partecipate with military airplanes in some missions.
All military pilots are invited to partecipate as fighters, cargos, tankers, recce and so on.
An AWACS control will provide a radar coverage for military traffics and will coordinate the operations
with civilian ATCs.
Actual Missions scheduled:
- E-3A Sentry AWACS, military radar coverage for the event
- EP-3 Aries, ELINT/SIGINT/Airphotos Recon
- F-16 Viper, training on scramble procedures by AWACS
- SF-260s, cross country flight, formation, procedures by VAMI
- Various, normal flights (cargo also) from/to air bases in Brindisi FIR

IMPORTANT
- The goal of this event is to have different air traffic, civilian and military in Brindisi FIR
- Teamspeak TS will be the official voice client used in the event in according with IVAO HQ
- To avoid conflict with civilian air traffic, please you must follow all istructions by ATC/AWACS
- All military flights not envolved in pre-planned special operations, need to fly own flightplan normally
- AWACS IVAO callsign (ProController and Squawkbox): LIBV_GND as AWACS_TD, LIBC_GND as AWACS_SCO
- AWACS Teamspeak channel: AWACS_TD and AWACS_SCO
After takeoff and reached cruise level or beginning own mission:
- Traffic: Tankers, AAR, CSAR, VFR low level navigation must contact AWACS_SCO (LIBC_GND on SquawkBox)
- Traffic: Scramble, CAP, air defense, ELINT/RECON must contact AWACS_TD (LIBV_GND on SquawkBox)
- Traffic: Transfer flight, ferry, VFR training must contact civilian ATCs
