Welcome in the AWTI Decimomannu Air Base unofficial website. The airport is located on the north west quadrant of Cagliari town, in the south coast of Sardinia island, Italy. As enthusiast of this airbase, I decided to develop this website where you can find news, informations, ranges, experiences, pictures and videos and further a flight simulation section (Flight Simulator) and an air traffic control simulation section (IVAO).
I hope you can find here all information requested and I invite you to collaborate with us to make increase this website. This site is dedicated to all people work and worked in the airbase and all crews detached in Deci during these years.

22/09/2008 - The Trial Imperial Hammer 2008, an important NATO exercise, will begin on September 29 till October 16, 2008, It's an exercise where different Countries will test their capacity to fight against terrorism assects and electronic warfare - Italy, France, Spain, USA, Turkey, Greece and Germany will provide their airplanes and crews - Main base for this activity will be Decimomannu airbase and its range complex, included PISQ Quirra Range

13/04/2008 - Spring Flag 2008 - From April 1 to 18, also this edition of the biggest italian exercise will be held in Decimomannu Air Base. Airplanes from Italy, Germany, Turkey, France, Greece, Spain, UK and USA will partecipate to the operations.

10/05/2007 - Spring Flag 2007 - From May 7 to 25, Spring Flag 2007 edition is scheduled in Decimomannu Air Base. Airplanes from Italy, Germany, Turkey, France, United Kingdom, Hungary, USA partecipate to the operations. Coming soon a full reportage on this site!

04/09/2006 - Italian F-16s from 37° and 5° Stormo are detached in Decimomannu AB for a campaign of training missions where air to air mission will be performed in the ACMI range. German F-4s are also detached on the base for ACMI missions too.
