In this page you can find our mission reports and screeshots played in the IVAO network and in multiplayer by FS2002/FS2004.
We organize training flights, missions (easy or difficult) in local area, national (Italy) and international with other virtual
military groups from Europe and the rest of the world. Military air traffic control is also played.

How to fly in Decimomannu?
Departures from LIED to ranges
After takeoff, pilot will go to Alpha North if airborne from RWY 35 or to
Alpha South if airborne from RWY 17.
Different routing is possible by ATC.
From these fix, it is possible to fly inbound the ranges,
under ATC instructions, or in autonomy when ATC is not available.
Usually all flights inbound and outbound ranges are VFR, OAT type.
If available, an handoff with appropriate Range Control will occur, reaching the range.

Rarely it will be possible to have all ATC online, so for a good activity in Decimomannu,
it should be good the presence at least of LIEE_APP and MIRTO Radar because together they can
manage military activity. Further AWACS activities are possible in the ranges.
Arrival to LIED from ranges
Out from the ranges, pilots, in agreement with Range Control
has to contact MIRTO Radar if he was flying in
R46, R54,
D40 and R59 then Cagliari APP where he will receive
further information to land in Deci.
If pilot is coming back from R39 or from
D33, in agreement with Range Control, he has to contact Cagliari APP to receive further information to land
in Deci.
To enter in Decimomannu ATZ there are two points Alpha North and Alpha South,
pilot will fly over these points, reachables also by radar vectoring by ATC or Range Control.
Join Deci ATZ at 2200', ATC could clear you at different altitude.
With A.North and A.South in sight, handoff with LIED TWR is possible to land.
If you want, radar vectoring for long final 35 or 17, or approaches from
Sarroch point or combinations of all these routes reported here will be possible.
ATC - Air Traffic Control
How to control in Decimomannu?
Flight activity in Decimomannu requests some special ATCs.
Everyone can operate as controller in Decimomannu and its ranges, a bit experience is requested for coordination
and radar vectoring.
Decimomannu TWR
Typical operations by TWR.
Decimomannu GCA/PAR
It provides radar service for a GCA by a precision approach radar.
This service is available for rwy 17L and rwy 35R. Useful when visibility is low,
it allows safety lands in bad meteo conditions.
Cagliari APP
It provides radar assistance for all traffic inbound and outbound the ranges
and it coordinates the handoff procedures with right Range Control.
It is recommended to know mission profiles of the traffic for a best control.
MIRTO Radar
It provides radar coverage for military traffic that fly over D40,
R46, R54 and R59.
MIRTO Radar provides radar assistance for all aircrafts to allow them to reach the ranges in safety and as soon as possible,
by radar vectoring, informations, separations and so on.
When Range Controls are available, MIRTO will perform right handoff with them (Frasca TWR and Playground).
It needs to know mission profile for each plane that fly under its responsability.
It operates in full coordination with Cagliari APP and Rome Control or AWACS and it is the Western Italian
Air Defense Radar.
Playground
It provides a fighter guide or GCI for all pilots envolved in ACMI range
situated on D40 and R54.
It needs to know mission profile for each plane under its responsability.
It provides radar vectoring to intercept.
It works with MIRTO Radar.
When there are many airplanes in ACMI, more Playground workstations could be open to support
own squadron in ACMI.
Frasca TWR
It is the Control Tower of the air to ground range of Capo Frasca.
It is the responsable of the traffic inside R59, that fly
to perform diving bombs, attack profiles, firing ops and escape manouverings.
It needs to know mission profile for each plane under its responsability.
It cannot give radar vectors, but it can give useful information for the safety inside
own range.
It can assign different altitude for separation inside the range.
Frasca TWR work in coordination with MIRTO Radar.
Quirra Radio
It is the radar center responsable of the Capo San Lorenzo/Perdasdefogu Range situated in
R39.
It coordinates all activities inside its sector, it can provide vectors and altitudes inside the ranges.
It needs to know mission profile for each plane under its responsability.
It provides clearence to enter in R39
for civilian or military traffic not envolved in training mission.

Here you can find some aeronautical charts for navigation in flight simulator. In some charts I reported some important fixes
like Alpha North, Alpha South and Sarroch (used for Deci activities).
You can find also the ranges of Deci and other airbases. Sorry for low quality of some charts.
